Hello everyone. How good it feels to welcome back all our students to Lead Elementary after 17 months away. I hope you each had a successful first week. There was tons of great energy, excitement at seeing old friends, and the wonderment of something new for our Preschool, TK, and kindergartners. Even some first graders were on campus for the first time. Welcome to all our new families and welcome back to our veteran families.
A huge thank you to Twinkle Signs for providing the beautiful welcome sign on the yard.
For the rest of August and the month of September, we will be hosting our membership drive. Please see our main webpage for details regarding the goals and mission of the PTA, and consider joining. By being a member, you help support valuable programs and services that support the specific needs of our school. There is no volunteer requirement, but we always welcome your participation. Please also consider joining our board. There are several open positions. And we can always create a new role to best suit your particular passion and skills.
Some of our studentsâ favorite events sponsored by the PTA include field trips and Art in Action. We are optimistically hoping to have school field trips (most likely in the spring). We will need parent volunteers for Art in Action. This can be a one time option, or a monthly recurring volunteer opportunity. Please watch the Art in Action video and consider volunteering by completing this form https://forms.gle/GS21J4UKJ8S8BN5y8
We appreciate your flexibility as we recognized that we are still in the midst of a global pandemic. Our events may need to be changed or cancelled. Most importantly, Lead Owls are resilient and we will get through this year of uncertainty together. I canât wait to see what is to come.
Hoot with Excellence,
Nicola Cadenas
Lead PTA President.
